Volunteer Agreement Form - Multicultural Mela Carnival 2026

📢 Call for Volunteers (Ages 16–21)
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Multicultural Mela Carnival 2026. Volunteers play a vital role in delivering an enjoyable, safe, and culturally enriching experience for the community.
We are seeking enthusiastic male and female volunteers aged 16 to 21 for the following roles:
- 🚗 Parking Attendants
- 🎟 Entry Point Crowd Management
- 🧒 Guiding the Multicultural Kids March (10:30 AM)
- 🕯 Assisting with the Fireworks (from 6:30 PM)
- 📋 Supporting the organising team with event logistics
- 🎨 Helping facilitate children’s activities & cultural quizzes
Some tasks may be eligible for a volunteer rate allowance, subject to role and hours served.
📄 Terms and Conditions of Volunteering
- Public Liability Insurance: All volunteers are covered under the SEQIA Event Public Liability Insurance for the duration of the event while acting within the scope of their assigned duties.
- Identification & Safety:
- All volunteers are required to wear a Hi-Visibility Vest (provided)
- A Name Badge (provided) must be worn at all times
- Duties & Supervision:
- Volunteers agree to follow the instructions of their designated team leader or supervisor
- Tasks may include physical movement, standing for extended periods, or assisting with children/families
- Code of Conduct:
- Volunteers must act respectfully and responsibly toward all guests, vendors, and team members
- Volunteers are expected to carry out tasks faithfully, honestly, and with enthusiasm
- Any misconduct or non-compliance may result in immediate dismissal from the role
- Additional Notes:
- Volunteers may not leave their allocated post without notifying their supervisor
- Roles may rotate or shift based on the needs of the event
- SEQIA reserves the right to amend volunteer duties if needed
