INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES FOR 2025 ENTRANTS
- The following guidelines are to ensure the integrity of the Eid Mela Carnival 2025 Food Tasting Presentation Competition.
- Prizes will be awarded in each of the nominated categories: Overall (First), Best Tasting (Second), and Best Presentation (Third).
- National Traditional Food Dish should be applied to be entered for the competition as short list will have to represent a cross-sectional of international dishes.
- STRICTLY all meat must be halal, no commercially purchased entry or entries from others preparation to be used without their permission.
- Local Australian dish may also be submitted with appropriate acknowlegement as an Aussie Food.
- ALL dishes should be brought to the stage on the day of the event on Sat 21st June at announced times.
- ALL dishes are to be presented to the judging area on the stage at the specified time.
- Prizes will be awarded at the presentation on the same day as the competition
- WE WOULD LIKE to use some of the recipes entered in the food competition in the future so you are agreeing to allow us to do this by signing this application form. Acknowlegement will be provided if we use your recipe.
- Entrants are encouraged to leave any extra food in the free tasting area on the stage for the organising Committee and other volunteers to sample.
- The Judges’ decision is final.

This International food tasting & presentation competition is open to the food vendors on the day,on being selected in the short list after preliminary selection from all the entries received by 20th June finalist list to be announced on 21st June.
